Homes For Heroes® gives back to local heroes when buying, selling or refinancing a home

With the busy summer housing market underway, Homes for Heroes® is gearing up to serve more than thousands of heroes in the local San Luis Obispo area. Homes for Heroes is a national program that aims to help make the dream of home ownership more affordable for people in the following groups: military personnel, police officers, firefighters, teachers, healthcare workers, first responders and others who serve our community and nation. So far since the program has gone national in 2009, Homes for Heroes affiliates have given back over $13 million to our nation’s heroes.

Local Homes for Heroes affiliates, Alicia DiGrazia, just helped Gary and Kimberlee; Josh and Kari; Jacob and Charlene purchase their home. Gary and Kimberlee purchased in Atascadero, and Josh, Kari, Jacob and Charlene purchased in Paso Robles. All Heroes had challenges to over come, one being finding the right home, as the market in their price ranges is very competitive.

So far, Alicia DiGrazia has helped 5 local heroes and is currently working with 3 more hero families. Since getting involved in the program in in 2015 Alicia DiGrazia has given back over $16,600 to local heroes. Her goal is to help every local hero in their real estate needs whether buying, selling or refinancing a home, as their way of giving back and saying Thank You to them for all that the do and sacrifice day-in and day-out.
